Chain Conveyor

Structure

The closed, rectangular-section steel housing is equipped with a winged endless chain.

Application Areas

  • Food industries
  • Flour, semolina and feed mills
  • Peanut shelling factories
  • Sugar and salt plants
  • Cocoa factories
  • Soy and rice processing plants
  • Raw material and grain storage silos and warehouses
  • Other similar food processing facilities

Operating Principle

The lower chain section moves along the bottom of the steel housing and carries the material. The return section of the chain is guided along the central track. The chain travels around a sprocket at the discharge end and an idler pulley at the inlet. The material and the chain move at the same speed. The product is discharged from the conveyor by flowing down from the chain at the outlet. The chain design allows for multiple inlets to be placed throughout the entire conveyor. It is also possible to install manually or remotely operated discharge gates.

Features and Advantages

  • Provides dust-free and hygienic working conditions
  • Protective measure against dust explosions
  • High capacity with reduced space requirements
  • Closed structure with a dust- and air-tight design
  • Robust and safe
  • Long service life and durability
  • Adjustable capacity using ZT series chain installations
  • The most important and active component of the chain conveyor system is the chain itself. The chain is manufactured through a special forging and hardening process to ensure the required high tensile strength and wear resistance.
  • A stainless steel chain can be supplied for special applications in food processing and handling.
